Welcome to Our Campsite

 

We the members of the Micah Jenkins Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #1569 would like to welcome you to our website. Here and thru out the website, you will be able to look at what is going on with our camp. You will also be able to find information on how to join our camp and help make sure that the charge that was given to the Sons of Confederate Veterans by Lt. General Stephen D. Lee in 1906 is honored.

 

The Charge

 " To you Sons of Confederate Veterans, we submit the vindication of the Cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate Soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulations of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideas which made him glorious and which you also cherish."

Upcoming Events
I would like to thank all that came out to our Memorial Day service on the 10th. I feel that it was a great success. A special thanks to the 6th SC volunteers for the wonderful color guard and cannon salute. I look forward to seeing you June 9th at out next meeting.

Hope to see all members at the Mayflower.

Monthly Meeting

Where: Mayflower Restaurant Rock Hill SC

When: 6pm - 8pm

Please join us as our speaker will be Mr. Michael C. Hardy Civil War Author and Historian as he speaks to us about the Battle of Hanover Court House. So come enjoy a good meal, some great conversation, and listen to a wonderful presentation.
